For the first time this year I was able to offer Exclusive Lavender Photo sessions at a local lavender farm. They were such a hit! Between the tranquil scenery & lovely lavender smells, some could say it felt like we died & went to heaven!
The Purple Rain Lavender Farm is a neat little Lavender Farm in Harford County MD, which offers a beautiful assortment of flowers and lavender. They are open by appointment only but do host a few "You-Pick" events during the beginning and end of summer that you don't want to miss. Visitors enjoy being able to stop and snip some Lavender for their own use or buy some of the homemade goods the farm has to offer such as soap, oil, and doggie supplies! I got to know the sweet owner of the farm and her family, she was amazing to let me use her farm for photo sessions & I loved building camaraderie between us local small businesses.
During my sessions my clients had a great time making memories with their families. It was such a relaxed atmosphere. We would walk the farm leisurely, look at all the beautiful scenery, and they would enjoy one another's company while making conversation as I was snapping away.
The best part of these lavender sessions was getting the farm to ourselves and the lavender smelling so heavenly. The smell of lavender and the bees buzzing away pollinating the flowers was so calming, by the time we left each session we felt like we were so relaxed and our moods only improved that much more.
This last lavender session of the year was beautiful & I had fun getting the teens to warm up lol! We all know the days go by fast as soon as we have kids, its definitely important to get those photos and cherished memories no matter what the age of our children.
